Every child should learn to cook. I think that cooking is a skill
for life and should be taught at an early age.
Firstly, your mum is bound to go away at least once, so it’s
good to be prepared. When your dad won’t cook anymore
and you need someone else to, you’re really their only hope.
It’s really a life saver when your mum’s away.
Secondly, it’s healthy because if your mother and father don’t
know what to cook, instead of getting takeaway, you can
cook your meal. It is great to be able to have a healthy meal to
fall back on! There are lots to choose from.
Thirdly, it’s a life skill! When you grow up, you’re going to
need to be able to cook on a daily basis. It is important that
when you get older you don’t have to learn from scratch.
Why don’t people learn to cook early? I don’t know. Those
are my reasons. By now you should know that cooking is
great for kids

‘Oh, Mr Hoppy, thank you!’ said Mrs
Silver. Then the clouds went grey as
Mr Hoppy bent down on one knee and
said ‘Will you marry me?’ ‘Yes,’ Mrs
Silver cried ‘of course I will mar-
ry you!’ and they lived happily ever
after. And if you’re wondering where
Alfie is? Well, no-one knows.

What is a Fable
A fable is a short story that’s a bit like a parable.
In a fable animals act like people and they have special
qualities and stuff. Fables have been retold so many times
it’s hard to know who wrote them. The lesson is at the end.
A fable is a short, simple story with a lesson at the end.

Romeo and Juliet – a Shakespeare Story
One day in Venice a young assassin named Duke Vendet-
ta arrived at the front door of the dance. He slithered in like
a snake. He spotted Juliet a few metres away. He strode
over, his dagger hanging in its sheath. The body guards,
Lachie, Jacob and Nicholas, were unaware of his pres-
ence….he glanced around the room. Duke Vendetta was
about to eliminate her when Lachie’s pet arctic fox rammed
into the side of him. The fox kicked the dagger out of his
grasp and scampered off with it.
And in the end both died, especially Juliet!
