Have you ever wondered:
How many people would you need to have in a room to make it probable
(probability of success greater than 1/2) that two people in the room will have the
same birthday?
or
If Cold Rock has 48 ice cream
favours and 33 mix ins, how many possible combinations are there if you can mix
up to 3 ice creams and 2 mix ins?
In Mathematics this year, some classes looked at the answers to these problems
and many more.
Students learnt that maths is fun and applicable to all aspects in life.
