Humanities and Social Sciences
25
In Humanities and Social Sciences we studied Japanese, and for an assignment we had to get into
groups and research a certain thing from Japan. In these groups we had to create a presentation
to show to the class, and the results were both interesting and hilarious. We had Samurai fighting
where the boys showed us a display, which everyone thought was great, and a Japanese Wedding
where two people had to be dressed up in a wedding dress, but the catch was that it had to be out
of toilet paper. A group made a video showing us what is involved in a Japanese tea ceremony,
two different Origami groups (how to make ninja stars and cranes), and a lesson in Japanese de-
veloped games and calligraphy. Altogether the presentations were entertaining but educational
and the whole class had fun, including Mrs. E.
