Highlights
The BCC fete in May was a chance for the ELC children to sing and dance
on centre stage – which they did with great enthusiasm and gave a stellar
performance.
Kenny Koala is always a popular visitor. This year he visited both ELC’s
and had a talk with us about protective behaviours and community care.
In June, PK Lyneham visited St Ninnian’s friendship group and sang to
them. They enjoyed our company and our performance, and have asked us
to come back again. We are enjoying developing our community focus in
this way.
We all got to see a group of chicks hatching and growing over two weeks in
May/June. There was great excitement as the first holes began to appear
in the eggs, and it was amazing to see how much the chicks grew in just
two weeks. We learned about the life cycle of a chick and what we needed
to do to keep them happy and safe.
Our learning journeys in June were a wonderful opportunity for families to
come in and get to know one another and the children took great delight
in showing their families their class rooms and portfolios. The children’s
portfolios continue to be filled with their work and observations of their
learning.
