Drama 9/10
In Drama this year we had a great time studying Improvisation, Puppetry and
Ancient Greek Theatre. The students presented their Puppetry performance
to an excited bunch of primary students. We also studied the Ancient Greek
comedy ‘Frogs’ by Aristophanes and presented it to guests at our Encore
night.
Drama 11/12
Students had an eventful year in College Drama. Students focused on
different philosophical views on the purpose of Theatre and also Comedy. We
studied ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’ by Tennessee Williams, ‘Mother Courage
and Her Children’ by Bertolt Brecht and our major performance ‘Arsenic and
Old Lace’ by Joseph Kesselring. We thoroughly enjoyed performing a whole
play to our Brindabella community!
