Chaplaincy Report
The Chaplaincy program at Brindabella Christian College supports the pastoral and community work of
the school. In 2015 the program was led by Mrs Katie Godfrey and Mrs Jessica Roberts who worked closely
with executive and pastoral staff to foster a sense of community, develop student leadership and address
students’ emotional, relational and spiritual needs in a range of ways.
Some of the many highlights of 2015 included:
• NightSesh – student run night of games, testimony, worship and ministry
• ExoDay- student run fun afternoon of games, music, skating, food, worship and a guest speaker aimed
at students encouraging their peers to consider a relationship with Jesus
• Senior Girls Afternoon Tea in the College Café
• Yr 7 Girls Breakfast (weekly) – run by LifeUC Youth intern Rachel Watts with Tia Godfrey and Natasha
Correia
• Bellas – Yr 8 Girls Bible Study run by Sallianne Shelton and Beth Marks
• Exam brain food for Senior School
• Pastoral sessions focusing on developing relationship skills
• Yr 8 into Yr 9 orientation sessions
• One on one Pastoral support
• Senior and Middle School Worship groups providing heartfelt worship for our assemblies
• World Vision Youth Conference & 40 Hour Famine
• Facilitating a fantastic range of guest speakers from local churches who shared with our students.
We are so grateful for all the wonderful things God has done in our community in 2015 and we are excited
about the future, firmly believing that the best is yet to come.
Mrs Jessica Roberts
