2013 has been a wonderful year of learning and adventure for all our Junior School
students. As teachers we are always impressed with how engaged our students are,
how excited they are about their learning and how they always tell us that they are
keen to come to school. Here are a few of our highlights…..
Students ranging from the ELC to Year 6 were invited to be part of the launch of the
new AFP Constable Kenny website. The students were present at the AFP display and
were involved in promoting a number of interactive activities. There were many photoopportunities and some even made it onto WIN TV’s local news.
Students from K to Year 4 all took part in a “Canberra 100 Silly Hat Day”. The children were
certainly very creative in design and we did enjoy seeing some silly hats. As part of the fun,
students were asked to donate $2 towards NAMS (Noah’s Ark Ministries Society). Mrs Kristen
Johnson headed over to Nagaland in India to minister to young girls aged 2 to 12. We were
very happy to hand over a donation of close to $300.
