2012 proved to be a landmark year for Brindabella Christian College with the graduation of our
very first Year 12 class. In 2013, we have continued to deliver quality Senior Secondary educa-
tion to our community.
As our graduate community grows into the future, we want our past students to know that
they are important and cherished members of the Brindabella family. To this end, 2013 saw
the first steps taken towards building a strong Alumni Association for our College.
Our students are why we exist. They leave our College carrying their achievements,
friendships and memories with them. We feel that graduates would derive great benefit from
developing an ongoing relationship with the Brindabella Christian College family. We have the
vision of fostering a true Christ Connected Community for our students, which will last well
beyond the ritual of their graduation.
Alumni logo and motto
To give our Alumni association a true identity, BCC commissioned the design of a new Alumni
logo (to be launched in early 2014). This logo will incorporate symbols and themes from
throughout Brindabella’s history.
The Alumni motto, Christ Connected Community, was carefully formulated to represent the
BCC spirit, ethos and sense of family. Our fondest wish is that the BCC Alumni Christ Connect-
ed Community will support students in their faith and lives for many years to come.
Commemorative rings
In 2012 BCC presented Senior graduates with a commemorative graduation ring. The College
has continued with this tradition in 2013, this time presenting an alumni ring to each graduat-
ing student. These Alumni rings are comprised of a White Lustrium band with our new alumni
logo inscribed on the face.
The rings are a symbol of the time that students have spent with us, a celebration of their
graduation and a reminder that they are always part of the Brindabella family. We hope to
continue this tradition into the future.
Facebook and Online Presence
The BCC Alumni Facebook page was launched in late 2013. The goal of this page is to recon-
nect with past students and staff stretching back to the very opening of the College. We en-
courage all past members of the BCC Community to like this page and become involved.
Work has also commenced on a comprehensive Alumni Portal to be integrated into the new
BCC website, providing a secure online space for Alumni to connect, plan and share with one
another.
Alumni magazine
Planning commenced on a biannual magazine publication, containing news for Alumni and the
current College community.
Alumni meetings and events
2013 saw the first Alumni meeting, where we encouraged past students to become involved
with our future plans. If you are interested in being a part of the Alumni committee, please
contact the College.
Our Class of 2012 Alumni were invited to attend the BCC Graduation Ceremony to ‘pass the
baton’ to the 2013 Year 12 Class. Alumni were also welcomed to the Presentation Night, with a
Class of 2012 reunion dinner held afterwards.
