BrindabellaChristianCollegehas a caring anddedicated teaching staffwho commit themselves
to excellence in every areaof teaching. 2013 sawour FTE teachingnumbers reach37with an
additonal admin teamof 8 (FTE).
Represented amongour qualifications areMastersDegrees, BachelorsDegrees inEducation,
Theology, Teaching, InformationSystems,Arts, Science, Engineering,Music,HumanMovement
andVisualArts, andTeachingCertificates.
All staff are encouraged to enhance their specialist qualifications, skills andknowledge through
specific training andpersonal andprofessional development. During2013 staff attended
professional learning courses to improve teaching and learning andprovide a safe environment
for children.
Seminars and conferenceswere also attended including topics such as theNationalCurriculum,
Careers, Improvisation,MusicMatters, Supporting studentswithDownSyndrome,Hospitality,
Edutech, iPad forEducators and teaching childrenwithdyslexia.
COMMUNITYCARE
During the courseof 2013, BrindabellaChristianCollege supported and raised funds formany
organisations includingWorldVision andOperationChristmasChild.
A teamof students from the Senior School, accompaniedbyBCC staffmembers, travelled
toVietnamon theCollege’s firstOverseasMissionTrip inApril. The teamworked in an
orphanage atHanoi namedSS3 and schools inHanoi andSapa in theNorthofVietnam. The
mission team,with the support of the entireBCC community, raised$8,297.03 tobuild and
paint a fence for the local Sapa school, grass, shrubs and toys for theorphanage.

Of the 38 students inYear 10 at the endof 2012, 20 chose to stayon to attendYear 11 in2013.
