Caring and Welcoming Community

Brindabella Christian College is a caring and welcoming school. We aim for each student to feel valued and connected so they can learn well, they can foster respectful relationships, and they can develop personal confidence.

As a Christian educational community, we teach students life skills that are grounded in Christian values that will assist them to live healthy, positive, and purposeful lives. Students are taught to prioritise their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, as good habits formed in these areas during the school years are likely to remain with them for life.

To maintain a safe and nurturing environment, all students are expected to adhere to the Student Code of Conduct, which encourages wise and acceptable behaviours. Our behaviour expectations are based on our ‘WISE’ values of Wisdom, Integrity, Service and Excellence and ‘ROCK’ values of Respect, Obedience, Confidence and Kindness. They are also based on our belief that all people are created in God’s image and are worthy of dignity and respect; we are all called to encourage one another and pursue peace, and we are all accountable for our actions.

To enhance student wellbeing, all students are given opportunities to lead and serve within the College, their local community, and globally. Students work together to create a positive culture through Connect classes, Chapels and Assemblies, Inter-House Competitions, Camps, Socials, and many other community-building events. Our Student Wellbeing team consists of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals who work across both campuses.

Our whole approach is to activate hope in our students.

It’s never been more challenging for parents to raise happy, healthy and resilient children. Like never before, parents need to be informed with clear, fact-based information on the many challenges faced by today’s youth. Topics such as youth anxiety, depression, self-harm, drug and alcohol use, cyberbullying and many others need clear explanation and guidance.
To support our parents and families, Brindabella Christian College has subscribed to SchoolTV, an award-winning resource that addresses major topics with expert interviews, fact sheets, parent quizzes, recommended apps, books and much more. SchoolTV aggregates information from many great resources such as BeyondBlue and ReachOut, amongst others. SchoolTV provides a single stream of independent factual information that saves parents time and confusion of searching online across multiple sites for information. SchoolTV also simplifies starting those sometimes-awkward conversations, ensuring you find the right words to connect with your child.
