Welcome to Brindabella Christian College
Early Learning Centres

BCC Early Learning Centres are an important part of Brindabella Christian College. The College is proud to offer an excellent service that provides families and children with a caring and professional educational environment.

The Early Learning Centre operates between 7.30am and 6pm Monday to Friday. The Centre is closed on Public holidays and for three weeks over Christmas.

Charnwood ELC welcomes children between the ages of six months and five years. The fees include all meals (morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late afternoon tea), nappies (for T1 and T2) and weekly music and art lessons. BCC is only able to offer full-day rates, however, children are not required to attend for the full day if this does not suit the family. Families are offered flexible attendance options at the Charnwood ELC. This allows you to choose which days suit your family's needs, with a minimum booking requirement of only two days per week.

As the Early Learning Centres operate under a long day care licence, parents will have access to the Child Care Subsidy (CCS). More information on eligibility and the rates of CCS can be found on www.familyassist.gov.au  or  www.mychild.gov.au

Introduction

Our Charnwood Early Learning Centre caters for children from 6 months to 5 years of age. Our centre includes four rooms: T1 (babies), T2 (toddlers), P3 (three-year-old preschool) and PK (Pre-kinder).

Curriculum

BCC Early Learning Centre is committed to providing an excellent early learning curriculum and is highly structured, intentional and focused. The curriculum builds on the children’s interests, strengths, capabilities, culture, developmental needs and experiences to reflect the Early Learning Centre philosophy and the Brindabella Christian College values and ethos.

Our educational program aspires to be a cycle of reflection, planning, implementation and evaluation. Each step depends on the other and the best educational experiences are provided for the children when these steps are working in conjunction.

Parent Involvement Program

At BCC Early Learning Centres, the encouragement and support of the families in any way is valued. The BCC Parent Involvement Program (PIP) provides an opportunity for parents to make a significant contribution to the running of the College according to their personal interests and preferences, and to contribute to the service decisions in meaningful ways. This involvement will also help achieve quality outcomes for the children.
