Early Childhood Teachers

A fulltime Early Childhood Teacher position has become available in Brindabella Early Learning Centre. This is an amazing opportunity to be a part of a reputable Early Learning Centre in Canberra ACT. 

At Brindabella Early Learning Centre, we are committed to providing exceptional educational experiences for children in their formative years. We understand the importance of a strong foundation in early childhood development and are dedicated to shaping the minds of tomorrow's leaders.

As the Early Childhood Teacher, you will be delivering a quality educational program for the (Insert Age Group here) room. 

Duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Develop quality educational program for the (Insert Age Group here) room according to the EYLF Guidelines
  • Conduct observations for our amazing children and develop a learning program according to the planning cycle within the EYLF guidelines. 
  • Build positive relationships through respectful and meaningful interactions with children, staff, and families.
  • Communicate and update families regarding their child’s learning progress and wellbeing. 
  • Provide adequate supervision for children in various learning experiences.
  • Setup learning spaces or experiences for indoor and outdoor environment.
  • Act as a role model for staff and children, demonstrating a positive behaviour and language. 
  • Work together with other ECTs / Room Leaders in implementing quality educational experiences for the children within the service.

 

The successful candidate must:

  • Hold a Bachelor Degree of Early Childhood.
  • Hold a current First Aid and CPR Qualifications (Early Childhood specific)
  • Previous leadership experience in an Early Education and Care service.
  • Hold the WWVP card.
  • Have a sound understanding of the EYLF and NQF guidelines. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Positive, caring attitude and willing to improve.
  • Professional presentation

These positions are casual with work available on an ‘as needed’ basis. All casual ELC staff report to the Director, Early Learning Centres.


The Early Childhood Teacher positions are currently casual. Hours are Monday to Friday 7:30am till 6pm. Maximum of 7.5 hours.

Cook for the OSHC Program

As the Cook, you will be cooking nutritious meals that will be an important part of children’s growth and development.


Duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Prepare afternoon tea snacks (Fruit platter and other nutritious snacks)

The OSHC Assistants are currently casual positions. Hours are Monday to Friday between the hours of 2.30pm and 6.00pm. Extended hours are offered during Vacation care. These positions report to the Coordinator, OSHC and Director of ELC.
