Head of Faculty – Science

Charnwood Campus Property Manager

Do you have previous “hands on” property or asset management experience? Would you like to work within a caring school environment? Brindabella Christian College, Canberra (Charnwood Campus) is seeking a Property Manager with trades experience to commence with the School in May 2019.

Requirements:

A Trade background in building or carpentry is desirable with a Builders Licence preferable.

Previous Property Management and/or Asset Management experience is desirable

Current approved First Aid Certificate

Current WWVP Clearance or ability to gain prior to commencement of employment

Well-developed communication, organizational and administrative skills

Ability to work in a team

Ability to supervise others

Alignment to the ethos of Brindabella Christian College and actively living its core values

This position reports to the Business Manager.  Responsibilities include assisting the Business Manager with the maintenance of the school’s physical facilities, including the assets of Life Unlimited Church (LifeUC) who share the property with Brindabella, and ensuring good relationships with LifeUC, other sub-tenants on the premises and overall good stewardship that allows the maximum possible longevity and usage of facilities by minimizing the effects of wear and tear.

The position will also co-ordinate a number of sub-trades.

The remuneration package includes an attractive salary commensurate with the applicant’s qualifications and experience.

Early Learning Centre - Finance Officer

The ELC at Lyneham caters for children 3-5 years and the ELC at Charnwood caters for children 6mths-5 years. The Outside of School Hours/Vacation Care program operates at both campuses.

The ELC Finance Officer reports to and operates under the general direction of the Business Manager and ELC Director, and interacts with the ELC Assistant Directors.

The ELC Finance Officer will support the Early Learning Centres (ELCs) and Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) to correspond, organise and liaise with families both within and outside the College.  This includes managing and maintaining enrolments, bookings, fee payments and debt collection, and maintaining all confidential documentation that requires a high level of professionalism and discretion.

Casual Café Assistant (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8am to 4pm)

Would you like to join our wonderful team in the Café/Canteen where you can spend time with our school community, parents, staff and our wonderful children at school.

You will be responsible for assisting the Café Manager and will be working in a fun and interactive environment which is very satisfying.

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Barista qualifications/experience

DUTIES MAY INCLUDE

• Serving customers in a pleasant and courteous manner
• Keeping cleaning and temperature records
• Undertaking the preparation of the food and beverages served in the cafe


This position is a casual position 3 days per week, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm with half an hour unpaid lunch break, term time only
